Delivery is free on hires of three days or more within 30km of Griffith. Shorter hires and jobs further out are quoted from a $90 base plus $2.20 per km. A $500 bond applies and comes back once the gear is checked over.
The mistake that costs people a weekend is going at a slab with a breaker and no cut line. Concrete cracks along whatever path it likes, which is usually into the section you meant to keep. A saw cut gives the break somewhere to stop.
Score the line, then break out the waste side with the excavator, and you get a straight edge you can pour back against or pave up to.
Blades are charged at cost on top of the hire — cutting reinforced concrete wears a blade and it wouldn't be fair to build that into everyone's rate. Tell us what you're cutting when you book and the right blade goes on the machine.
Cut wet where you can. It keeps the blade alive longer and it keeps the silica dust down, which matters more than most people realise — dry-cutting concrete throws respirable crystalline silica and that's the one that does permanent damage. Eye and ear protection are the minimum; a P2 mask is sensible.
Saw, excavator and tipper in the same booking is the standard demolition package: cut the slab, break it out, load it, cart it. One hire, one trip, no skip bin sitting out the front for a fortnight.
$145 for a day, $200 for a weekend, $520 for a week. Blades are charged at cost on top, based on what you're cutting.
Cutting reinforced concrete wears a blade down fast, and how fast depends entirely on the job. Charging blades at cost means someone cutting a couple of joints isn't subsidising someone cutting out a reinforced slab all week.
Depth depends on the blade fitted. Tell us the slab thickness when you book and we'll set it up appropriately — for thick slabs, cutting from both sides is often the answer.
Eye and ear protection at a minimum. Cut wet where you can and wear a P2 mask if you can't — dry-cut concrete dust contains crystalline silica, which causes permanent lung damage.
